The exhibition “Colour, Form, Togetherness – An Exhibition on Diversity and Participation” has been on display at the University Library of Hochschule Magdeburg-Stendal at the Magdeburg campus since mid-January. Until 26 February 2026, artistic works created as part of a student inclusion project can be viewed on the first floor.

The exhibition was planned, coordinated and implemented by the project group on inclusion in the Social Work degree programme. In several participatory workshops, students worked together with artists from the Matthias-Claudius-Haus Foundation in Oschersleben. The aim was to make individual perspectives on everyday life, wishes and emotions visible and to place the artistic forms of expression of people with disabilities at the centre.

A total of 28 works are on display, including paintings, textile works, clay sculptures and seven pieces of music that visitors can listen to via QR code. The exhibition invites visitors to engage with different perspectives and to reflect on inclusion as a social attitude.

The Kompetenzzentrum Inklusive Bildung Sachsen-Anhalt was involved in a professional exchange with the organisers in advance and contributed impulses on accessible and inclusive project development. At the same time, the exhibition shows how challenging it is to implement participation comprehensively in cultural projects and how important it remains to continuously address accessibility throughout the entire process.

The exhibition can be visited free of charge and without registration during the opening hours of the University Library.
